Learning Systems Design

To realize the goal of learning to fit in with what is outlined in the curriculum , teachers need to create learning designs . Instructional design will show how the learning process is conducted through a series of procedures or learning activities .

Very diverse selection of instructional design , such models Dick , Carey and Carey who insists on a thorough revision aspect of the learning process , Rothwell & Kazanas models that emphasize an increase in performance , and a model of Kemp , et al dynamic ( Goddess Salma Prawiradilaga , 2007: 35 ) .

Dick , Carey and Carey ( 2009:7-9 ) mentions ten instructional design elements , including: ( 1 ) identify the learning objectives , ( 2 ) making the analysis of learning , ( 3 ) analyze learners and contexts , ( 4) states the specific purpose of learning , ( 5 ) develop assessment instruments , ( 6 ) develop learning strategies , ( 7 ) develop and select instructional materials , ( 8 ) designing formative evaluation , ( 9 ) revise the learning , and ( 10 ) designing the summative evaluation .

Model Dick , Carey & Carey developed based on a systems approach because it begins with a clear understanding of new knowledge and skills that will be learned by the students . Implementation flow executed in sequence starting from the first to the last step .

While Morison , et al ( 2001:7 ) suggested steps in designing learning as follows : " when starting to instructional design , starting with instructional problems , then move to learner characteristic , and proceeds clockwise through the nine elemens " .

When we started to design learning , start by identifying learning problems , then switch on the characteristics of learners , continue to follow the clockwise direction on the nine elements . The nine elements are as follows :
1 . Identify learning problems
2 . Identify the characteristics of learners
3 . analyzing the task
4 . Determine the learning objectives
5 . Constructing the subject matter
6 . Designing learning strategies
7 . Planning learning message
8 . Developing evaluation instruments
9 . Choosing the right learning resources

Instructional design models proposed Morison , et al is a circular model of unspecified initial step or steps which eventually . Teachers are given the freedom to determine which components should be done first and so on . That's why this Morison models seem more dynamic .
